INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION.
Being a student-athlete is more than just practices and competitions. It’s balancing school, training, expectations, relationships, recruiting, and life—often all at once.

The PMU Mentor Program was created to give athletes additional support beyond mental performance training. This program connects athletes with a trusted mentor who understands the demands of student-athlete life and can help guide them through the everyday challenges that come with it.

What Is the PMU Mentor Program?
The PMU Mentor Program pairs athletes with a PMU mentor for ongoing guidance and support in areas such as:
-
Navigating student-athlete life and busy schedules
-
Managing pressure, expectations, and transitions
-
College recruiting conversations and preparation
-
Organization, time management, and life balance
-
Building confidence off the field as well as on it
Mentorship is supportive and educational, not clinical or therapeutic, and is designed to complement an athlete’s mental performance work—not replace it.
How Mentorship Supports Mental Performance Training?
Mental performance training focuses on skills like confidence, focus, mindset, and resilience.
Mentorship supports the day-to-day application of those skills—helping athletes:
-
Stay organized and accountable
-
Talk through real-life stressors and decisions
-
Gain perspective from someone who has “been there”
-
Feel supported during high-pressure seasons and transitions
Many athletes choose to participate in mentorship in addition to their mental performance sessions for more consistent support.

Meet Our Mentors
PMU mentors are individuals who understand the realities of being a student-athlete and are passionate about helping others navigate the journey with confidence and clarity.
Zoe and Maya serve as PMU mentors, offering encouragement, perspective, and guidance while working closely with the PMU coaching team to ensure athletes feel supported every step of the way.

How to Get Started
Athletes can sign up for the PMU Mentor Program as an add-on to their mental performance training. Mentorship sessions are scheduled separately and designed to fit seamlessly into an athlete’s existing support plan.
